OUR OFFICES ARE CLOSED UNTIL APRIL 13, 2020
Updated March 24, 2020
As you all by now know, Governor Whitmer ordered all non-essential businesses closed for 3 weeks until April 13, 2020 to control the very serious Coronavirus outbreak in Michigan. After listening to the Governors announcement, we made the difficult decision to close both of our offices. While we consider your vision and sight essential to your well-being, we feel it does not qualify as life-threatening in comparison to the urgent needs of the coronavirus-stricken patients fighting for their lives on respirators. We feel it is our duty as healthcare providers to consider the bigger picture and do what is best for the entire community.
As of today, we are cancelling all appointments and surgeries through April 13th. It is our hope that after 3 weeks of social distancing, conditions will allow us to resume all appointments and surgeries as normal. Only time will tell. Upon return, we will reach out to all those patients whose appointments have been cancelled to reschedule.
In the event of an emergency, please call the office number! Calls will be forwarded to the answering service and they will contact Dr. Krebs with your information. We are committed to providing the highest quality of care in case of an emergency and are still available to address your needs if a vision threatening event occurs.
If you require a prescription refill and cannot wait 3 weeks, your pharmacy can send an electronic notification through our electronic medical record system. If this is not possible, please leave a message with the service. We will retrieve these messages at the end of the day and address refills on a timely basis. Please allow 48 hours for the pharmacy to fill the prescription.
These are difficult times for our community and our nation. We will continue to monitor the situation and abide by the recommendations of our federal and state government agencies. We hope this inconvenient interruption in our daily lives is short lived. In the meantime, stay safe, stay strong and heed the warnings and orders of our Governor. By working together as a community, we hope to minimize the detrimental effects of this deadly virus.
Be healthy and safe. We hope to see you all very soon!

The CovID-19 coronavirus pandemic has forced the team at Envision Eye Care to make some critical decisions regarding the direction of our clinical operations over the upcoming weeks. State and federal governments have asked the public to limit contact with friends and peers to reduce the spread of this deadly virus. Hospitals will be overwhelmed with patients needing urgent, life-saving care. Many businesses, including some medical clinics, are temporarily closing their doors, creating additional problems within our communities.
At Envision Eye Care we believe it is our duty to care for our community the best we can. We will continue to care for patients with urgent or emergent ophthalmic disease or injury whose vision would be greatly compromised by lack of access to care due to the coronavirus. Envision Eye Care is committed to ensuring access to proper ophthalmic care to those who need it most.
We made the difficult decision today to close the Cass City clinic until April 6 (possibly longer) and will monitor the situation and the virus’s spread on a weekly basis. We will reopen as soon as realistically possible. Our Saginaw clinic will remain open to those requiring urgent ongoing care and for emergencies. Routine and contact lens exams will be rescheduled for a later date when the danger of infection has been contained. All elective surgeries will also be cancelled and rescheduled as soon as possible when the severity of the situation has subsided.
We are committed to providing care to those with the highest need and maintain the highest quality of care in case of emergency.
These are difficult times for our community and our nation. We will monitor the situation daily and consider the recommendations of our federal and state government agencies, while also considering the well being of our community and staff. We will reopen for regular clinic operations as soon as reasonably possible.
Please contact our office for further information or in the event of an emergency. Stay safe, heed warnings to the best of your ability and stay strong. Working together as a community we can hopefully minimize the detrimental effects of this deadly virus.
We hope to see you all very soon!
